Participation in an Salamanca internship is an important bridge that links your Spanish language studies with the 'real' working world. Below is a sample list of the fields where we have been able to place our students in the past. Please note that these are just examples and that some Salamanca internships may not be available during your stay. Placement depends on a number of factors (your level of Spanish, availability in the company, your CV, etc.) and we cannot always guarantee a position in the specific company or field of your choice.

Please note that internships are usually more difficult to find in July and August, as many companies have a lighter load of work or even close altogether. However, we will do our very best to find the right internship in Salamanca for you, and we are always willing to form new partnerships in other areas at your request- don't hesitate to ask!

Salamanca Internship Characteristics

While the standard duration of the internship program in Salamanca is 3 months, many participants elect to stay longer.

There are 3 main requirements for enrollment:

1. Minimum age: 18 years old
2. Minimum level of Spanish: High intermediate
3. Medical insurance

Before you begin your Salamanca internship, you may choose to particiupate in an optional 4-week intensive Spanish Language Program.

If you want to participante in the Salamanca internship program but don't yet possess the required high intermediate level of Spanish, don't worry! You may enroll in any of our general Spanish courses until you reach a level of fluency in spoken and written Spanish appropriate for the workplace.

Please note that participants in the Salamanca internship program are not paid during their internship. However, some participants in our internship program have received a bonus based upon their contributions; this is at the full discretion of the company.
