VI Festival Internacional SMASH de Música Contemporánea VI SMASH International Festival of Contemporary Music 2-11 December Universidad de Salamanca A low cost opera which provides the public with the Basic elements of an opera over the course of a week. The elements include solo vocalist sections, drama scenes and shorts music pieces.	6a Jornadas Gastronómicas Micológicas del Oeste Salamantino 6th Mycological Gastronomy Days of West Salamanca Until 11 December Various restaurants around Salamanca A chance to check out some of Salamanca’s best restaurants and food, accompanied by some wine tasting. There is also a photography competition taking place for the event too.	Fiesta de los Mozos 26 December El Cabaco, Salamanca A festival that has been celebrated in the town of El Cabaco for over a century which involves traditional dancing and food.

Jesus Nuñez 15 November – 3 June Domus Artium 2002, Avenida de la Aldehuela s/n, 37003 Salamanca A collection of artwork by Nuñez that explores the art that is hidden in the cosmos and presents them like landscape paintings.	TwinsFactory ‘PostApocolypticInstances’ 15 November – 4 March Domus Artium 2002, Avenida de la Aldehuela s/n, 37003 Salamanca Two siblings, Nacho y Chema Llamazares, who go by the name of the TwinsFactory, present some of their digital artwork which ranges from photos to videos.	Historia de la Automoción Automotive History Permanent Exhibition Museo de la Historia de la Automoción, Mercado Viejo 3 90 pieces on display in a collection of 240 that rotate. From a Rolls Royce Silver from 1922 to a Cadillac Fleetwood 75 that belonged to Francisco Franco. A must for motor lovers.
Exhibition Zacarías González Permanent Exhibition Casa-Museo Zacarías González This artist from Salamanca is reognized worldwide as one of the masters of painting.	Artilugios para Fascinar Gadgets to Intrigue Permanent Exhibition Sede de la Filmoteca de Castilla y León, C/ Doña Gonzala Santana, 1, This Basilio Martín Pátino collection is dedicated to the world of film. With more than 200 collection devices and more than 1000 images about the history of audiovisual media.	La Medida del Tiempo The Measure of Time Andrés Santiago Zarzuelo Collection Permanent Exhibition Convento Madres Agustinas, calle Compañía, 43 A showcase of more than 200 popular clocks and watches manufactured from the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century.
Los Sonidos de Ayer Yesterday’s Sounds Permanent Exhibition Mercado de San Juan This fantastic collection is made up of more than 400 old radio receptors. We can observe the evolution of radios from the 19th century to the 20th century.	Miguel de Unamuno Permanent Exhibition Casa Museo de Unamuno, Calle de los Libreros 25 In this great artist and intellectual’s house you can see furniture, memorabilia and archives. In summary, you can see more of how the Spanish writer lived.	Comercio y la Industria Commerce and Industry Permanent Exhibition Museo del Comercio y de la Industria, Avenida de Campoamor, 37 This exhibition keeps the memory of economic, industrial and trade activity in the city and region.

CONCERTS & MUSIC
Marea 3 December, 8.30pm Pabellón Multiusos José Luis Sánchez Paraíso, Avenida de los Cipreses, s/n, 37005, Salamanca Marea are a rock group from Berriozar in the Spanish region of Navarra. The group started at the end of the 90s and now have a number of discs under their belts.	Alabama Gospel Choir 21 December Centro de Artes Escénicas y de la Música, Avenida de las Artes, s/n, Salamanca The Alabama Gospel Choir, directed by Norman L. Crarey, is a gospel choir from the US who promote the harmony between the mind, body and spirit. They have toured many countries across the world and they are now coming to Barcelona.	David Bisbal 22 December, 9pm Pabellón Multiusos José Luis Sánchez Paraíso, Avenida de los Cipreses, s/n, Salamanca David Bisbal was the winner of the first edition of the talent show, ‘Operación Triunfo’, and has actually been a success. He sings latino style music and often incorporates acoustic music into his shows.

THEATRE, PERFORMANCE & DANCE
Dinero. Una historia de amor en tiempos de crisis Money. A love story in times of crisis 11 December, 8pm Teatro Liceo, Plaza del Liceo, s/n, Salamanca A story of love and money in an unhappy world.	Carcajada Salvaje Wild Laughter 17 December Teatro Liceo, Plaza del Liceo, s/n, Salamanca The bitter sweet comedy that sees the main characters laughing off all of those problems and bad thoughts that we experience throughout our lives.	Storm. Una tormenta de emociones Storm. A Storm of Emotions 28-30 December Teatro Liceo, Plaza del Liceo, s/n, 37002, Salamanca The latest show from the Cirque Imaginaire unites the best of theatre, circus and comedy. Full of acrobats and gymnasts as well as excellent special effects, this show is a treat for the eyes and the imagination.

UD Salamanca Vs Dep. Alavés 4 December, 5pm El Helmántico, Salamanca The local teams plays Dep. Alavés in a game of football.	San Silvestre Salamantina 26 December Salamanca The 28th edition of the Christmas period run around the city of Salamanca will take place this Boxing Day.	Copa Coca-Cola de Fútbol 2011-12 Coca-Cola Football Cup 2011-12 28-29 December Various football pitches and sports centres A football tournament organised by Coca-Cola for local teams. The competition is taking place across the country, including in Salamanca.
